*Titulo: Non-affine viscoelastic response of semiflexible networks
*Resumo: From the theoretical and computational point of view, methods to evaluate the mechanical response of semiflexible filaments networks are known since almost two decades [1,2]. However, only now those methods were extended to describe the full viscoelastic response of networks and were applied in the study of the formation of the peptide gels [3,4]. In contrast to the usual approaches, which are based on continous/effective descriptions of the elastic media and are limited to length scales much larger than the their smallest structures (e.g., proteins or peptides), our mesoscopic/multi-scale approach [3,5] provide a novel approach that might lead to new theoretical and computational developments for the characterization of the microrheology of gel-like semisolids materials.

*Titulo: Presenting a model for wave propagation by using Finsler metric
*Resumo: Here, the Huygens Principle is extended to the n-dimensional case. In order to get a comprehensive understanding, several examples are provided in the case of Randers metrics which are particular cases of Finsler metrics. However, it is shown that the results are valid for the general case of Finsler metrics. It is also illustrated that how the results can be used to present a model for the spread of waves, in particular the waves of wildfire. Moreover, we show that by tracking the particles of fire, it would be possible to find the locations where some equipment can be placed in order to control the fire faster.
